Frank Johnston (1888-1949), later known as Franz Johnston, was a founding member of the Group of Seven known for his prolific output and increasingly realistic style. Born Toronto; studied at Central Technical School and Ontario College of Art under Gustav Hahn and William Cruikshank. Joined Grip Lt
